Despite bassist Ted Dwane's recent hospitalization, Mumford & Sons fully expect to be in Manchester, Tennessee this weekend for the Bonnaroo Music Festival. The British folk rockers explained in a statement Tuesday that Dwane went under the knife after doctors discovered a blood clot on his brain.
The band postponed three U.S. shows this week to accommodate his recovery. But they say they have no plans to cancel any other gigs, which means Saturday's headlining set at Bonnaroo should take place as scheduled. Festival organizers confirmed the lack of a lineup change with a Facebook post on Tuesday.
Ted Dwane's bandmates are also wishing him well and a speedy recovery as the Mumford & Sons bassist underwent treatment for the blood clot. After releasing a statement Tuesday, saying Ted had been taken to a hospital Monday to receive emergency treatment after feeling unwell in recent days, they added that Ted is receiving excellent care and they've been assured that he will recover quickly from surgery.
